NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to NATO Headquarters on Wednesday (29 November 2023) for the first meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of foreign ministers.

Mr Stoltenberg said that ministers will discuss how to support Ukraine on the path towards NATO membership, including how to implement reforms.
He said the meeting would also address Ukraine’s urgent needs and the situation on the battlefield. The Secretary-General welcomed announcements by NATO Allies of additional financial support, more air defences and ammunition; and a training centre for Ukrainian pilots. “These are concrete actions, so we need more of them”, he said.
